It's All About Sports at Paul Steelman Design Group's New Dallas Project
With the recent opening of the Gaylord Texas Station in Dallas, Paul Steelman Design Group has ushered in a new era of sports bar. Texas Station patrons can catch their favorite team in action at this contemporary sports bar-eatery, relax on the sofas or challenge a colleague to some virtual golf. PSDG who was tapped for the architecture and interior design of the project infused the space with an impressive array of high tech audiovisual components as well as a stimulating interior design scheme. It's a sports fan's dream scenario.
The 7,500-square-foot, seven-room facility is located in the main atrium of the new Gaylord Texas Station Resort and Convention Center in Dallas Texas. PSDG Audio Video professionals planned for each seat in the house to be the best by combining extraordinary AV components that bring the game alive in sight and sound. Couple this with interior design features that are visually compelling as well as unique and you have a winning ticket. Located in the main room of the sports bar is a fabulous 45-foot by 16-foot curved projection screen for main event sports, movies or private-party presentations.
From the moment patrons enter they are treated to visual goodies. An impressive vertical water wall meets patrons at the entrance. The 19th Hole Bar has a golf simulator where patrons can try their luck at courses from St. Andrews to Pebble Beach. The 19th Hole Bar features framed photos of golf greats with a visual twist. Mixed in among the memorabilia are framed LCD displays, which masquerade as ordinary photographs. Periodically they come to life and finish their put or drive to the amazement of passing clientele.rnThe Gaylord Texas Station houses a full service restaurant.
The Cigar Bar rotunda and billiard room embraces old world design flavor but is given the same AV treatment with large plasma screens imbedded into the rich wood panel walls. For the younger customer a video arcade is complete with the newest interactive games while the warm pallet of colors, retro lighting fixtures, curvilinear carpet patterns and architectural treatments make this an entertainment venue for all ages.
