Paul Steelman Design Group Announces Opening of New Harrah's Venue

Paul Steelman Design Group recently completed a new entertainment establishment for Harrah's Entertainment which is both hot and cool.

Paul Steelman Design Group was tapped to breathe new life and kinetic energy into the Harrah's St. Louis property in Maryland Heights Missouri. Billed as the heartbeat of the property the new VooDoo Lounge was designed to be a 24/7 changing pulse of the Harrah's St. Louis casino property. PSDG initialized a chameleon methodology backed up by brilliant interior design which allows the space to be utilized optimally through out most of the day and night. The interior design specialists at Steelman configured the area to allow the kitchen and seating spaces to flux for expanded use. With minimal labor by Harrah's staff the venue goes from a mid-morning breakfast space to lunch, followed by afternoon appetizers and a robust happy hour. Large scale video walls provide the delivery of sports events for the afternoon sports bar component. In the late evening the space morphs into a gyrating ultra lounge entertainment venue.

Paul Steelman Design Group's lighting design department fitted the space with a myriad of tech-lighting features. Utilizing creative lighting applications allows the space to go from a cozy calm environment to the late night beat. A wall of liquid crystal glass boxes which are all programmable and back lit by LED's can remain static or emulate a colored rhythm. The performance stage can handle large and small acts with minimal effort. Booths have individual flat screen TV monitors which each table can control. Ceiling and column insets also have the ability to be programmed with recessed lighting sources.

The second floor Diamond Lounge mezzanine gives Harrah's elite players the opportunity to watch the action from above or close the glass viewing wall for a more subdued experience.

The venue exhibits the versatile design capabilities of Paul Steelman Design Group and the firm's capacity to maximize space and therefore revenue via creative design and space utilization.
