Paul Steelman Design Group Creates A New Look at Santa Fe Station Casino And Entertainment Complex
Paul Steelman Design Group has been tapped by Stations Casinos to reinvent the spaces at Santa Fe Station and breath new life into the property. The project scope includes expansion of the casino by turning the existing ice skating rink into additional game floor space; renovation of the existing bowling alley; a new Mexican restaurant; a trendy new steak house and renovation of the Grand Caf'e, Santa Fe's 24 hour eatery. The Charcoal Room Steakhouse is a hot new urban restaurant. The interior design department of Paul Steelman Design Group chose masculine, contemporary finishes. Red leather, ribbed glass, stainless steel and stacked stone. Several walls utilize large-scale glass and stainless steel wine vaults as design features that also allow the restaurant to show off its extensive wine collection. Paul Steelman Design Group enlisted its brilliant lighting department to add hidden red neon lights in the soffits and the planked ceiling treatment. The effect is a smoky blend of hot and cool surfaces. Fresh rich interiors in shades of red and gold create city sleek with rich dark mahogany wood beams and wood floors. Contemporary light fixtures covey an urban experience, wine display cabinets surround the entry and dining areas, a modern glow fireplace and plasma screens at the bar introduce lounge like amenities.
The Grand Caf'e This is Station Casinos newly developed coffee shop concept with an upgraded and expanded menu. The interior is a blend of the contemporary and traditional elements such as faux aged plaster walls, iridescent glass tile, high back booths and rich green granite tabletops. Whimsical wrought iron railings and wall elements accent warm stained concrete flooring. The venue has large oversized chandeliers with amber/orange globes. A large bakery display case at the entry filled with oversized cakes, pies, and pastries offers palette enticement while rich green awnings, eggplant fabrics, and wood diamondback seating set off the cozy country setting.
Cabo Cantina Based on a casual Mexican beach theme yet inspired by the contemporary colorful beach architecture of the Mexican coast the Cabo Cantina serves up contemporary style and traditional fare. Hand painted Mexican tile, weathered faux plaster walls and colorful Mexican folk art accessories give diners a sense of old Mexico in this refreshing environment. A focal point is the circular feature bar with "palapa-style" roof. Couple that with distressed wood flooring wrought iron chandeliers and furniture and Santa Fe patrons get the feel and taste of south of the border.
